Protect Our Families. Protect Our Future. Support the Anticorruption of Public Morals Act (HB 4938) 

We are calling on the Michigan State Legislature to pass House Bill 4938, the Anticorruption of Public Morals Act, introduced by Rep. Josh Schriver (R-Oxford), which would ban the distribution of online pornography statewide.

This bill is more than legislation — it’s a stand for the dignity of women, the protection of children, and the restoration of purity, peace, and public morality. 

Every day, we see the damage caused by the sex industry:

• Marriages are breaking.
• Children are exposed far too young.
• Women are compared, commodified, and trafficked.
• Mental health is collapsing under the weight of hyper-sexualization and shame.
   

As a Christian and advocate for self-love, I know this truth: We are not meant to be consumed. We are meant to be loved.

Pornography not only affects individual lives but also has significant societal implications. The proliferation of online pornography has been linked to increased rates of sexual violence and the degradation of relationships. According to a study by the American Psychological Association, exposure to pornographic content can lead to distorted views of sex and relationships, fostering unrealistic expectations and harmful stereotypes.

By supporting HB 4938, we are taking a crucial step towards addressing these concerns, promoting a healthier society, and safeguarding the future of coming generations. It’s time for Michigan to lead the way in prioritizing the mental and emotional well-being of its residents by tackling the root causes of sexual exploitation and addiction.

HB 4938 would:

• Prohibit the online distribution of pornographic material in Michigan.
• Require ISPs to block access to this content and prevent circumvention (e.g., via VPNs).
• Impose penalties for distributing or enabling this content, including up to $100,000 in fines and criminal charges.
