The Issue

Fuego by Sosa’s is more than a business—it is a vital community space built on inclusion, respect, and support, particularly for veterans and local patrons. Founded by owners who left their home, careers, and family behind to invest their life savings into Old Town, Fuego has become a welcoming place where guests feel safe, valued, and connected.

Despite operating in an open-container district and public smoking area, Fuego by Sosa’s is currently facing eviction following complaints related to smoke odor. This action threatens not only a locally owned small business, but also the loss of a trusted gathering space that has positively contributed to the culture, economy, and sense of community in Old Town.

This petition calls on decision-makers to reconsider the eviction and allow Fuego by Sosa’s to remain open while fair and reasonable solutions are explored. We believe local businesses that invest in community, veterans, and responsible operations deserve the opportunity to continue serving the public.

By signing this petition, you are standing in support of small business owners, veterans, and a community space that has brought people together. We respectfully ask that Fuego by Sosa’s be given the chance to remain in Old Town and continue serving the community it was built for.

Sincerely,

Sosa & Sara
