Support for Pai Rathaya to Remain in Ireland

The Issue

If you are an Irish theatre-maker, educator, audience member, practitioner or professional, we invite you to add your name to this list to support Pai in her efforts to continue living and working in Ireland.

By signing this petition, you are supporting Pai Rathaya in her efforts to extend her visa to live and work as a theatre designer in Ireland. She is currently in the process of writing to the Minister of Art to make a case for herself, which we hope to bolster by offering our signatures. Pai has made countless contributions to the Irish theatre community since moving to Dublin in 2018, and we believe she should be granted permission to remain in the country. She is a treasured friend to many, a valuable asset to Irish theatre, a designer with an unparalleled work ethic, and an exceptional creative artist.

By adding your signature, you are agreeing to one or more of the following:

  • I have witnessed (or am aware of) Pai Rathaya's work in theatre and believe it is valuable to the Irish theatre community.
  • I have worked with Pai (or know other theatre professionals who have recommended and/or spoken highly of her work to me) and know her to be a hard-working, creative, innovative, unique, and positive force within the Irish theatre community.
  • I believe that the Irish theatre community is strengthened by Pai Rathaya's presence and artistic contributions.
