GA State Senate: We need all of your help informing the Georgia State Judiciary Subcommittee that these HOAs (especially condos) are getting out of control! Unfortunately with the condos, they are literally taken over by criminals and contribute to street gang activity, open drug sales, murders and human trafficking as seen with Camelot Condos (South Fulton, GA), Brannon Hills (Clarkston, GA) and my own Peyton Place Condominium Association (Atlanta, GA). If action isn't taken in the next few weeks, nothing will be accomplished for another year given that there are only a few weeks left in the session of the part-time Georgia legislature.
Please review the members below and contact them either via phone or email voicing your support for the creation of an HOA commission that would oversee:
- HOA Board term limits (exception made for associations with less than 20 units)
- Creation of an HOA commission to handle disputes, bylaw violations, and punishment for HOA board breaking GA laws as it relates to statutes pertaining to HOA's
- Banning those who have been found guilty of fraud and theft from being able to serve on a HOA board
- Fining individual HOA board members who violate
