Support for a British United Front against rising Far-Right and hate-filled ideologies.
The Issue
My name is Sam, and I'm a 19 year old from Liverpool. I was born and am proud to be a member of my country's working class, a value instilled in me by my city and by the people in it. I have always been proud of where I was born, but recently there simply is no way to avoid the fact that the claws of fascism, racism, islamophobia, and all other horrid, hateful aspects you can find in society run deeper than anyone thought - Not just in Liverpool, but throughout all of the country. I am appalled by what I have been witnessing over the past few days, and I know I am not the only one. I am furious, and I cannot stand by while this rot takes hold where I love, hurting people I love.
The race-riots are despicable. The HATE is despicable. Hence, this petition. This will be attached along with personal letters to several left-wing/progressive groups or individuals in the country, calling for united action against this. Parliamentarianism and Individual demonstrations are strong, but those who ruin our cities and attack our people aren't burdened by factionalism and separation - They unite under one goal and that is to spread their vile hate. The good people of this country need to do the same. A United Front between those who are ready to stand against hate at a moments notice, and provide a credible, left-wing alternative to hate which Labour seem content to abandon their position as. People need hope. People need a banner to fly, and with these combined resources, with the combined manpower and reach of the many, many well-minded people in this country, I know in my heart that this reactionary fire can be stomped out.
In France, the most recent elections showed the Far-Right National Rally to be in the prime position to win. The leftists adopted this united front strategy, understanding that their similarities far outweighed their differences. Through mutual support, cooperation, and clear understanding of just how bad their opponents really were, the Popular Front won the election, and the National Rally came third. We NEED a similar strategy in Britain.
The fate of our country is at stake. I invite you to sign this and agree to be part of a progressive, united, and people-driven front against the venom in the blood of the nation
