The Issue

We, the undersigned, call on Hounslow Council to support grassroots community club Feltham Town FC in securing a formal agreement to use and maintain part of Feltham Park for hosting their football sessions & host competitive football for youth, senior & women’s teams!

Feltham Town FC is a fast-growing, volunteer-run football club based in Feltham. An area with no youth club, or centres for children to attend to learn outside of school, the club has over 80 players across youth & men’s teams, with a women’s team opening, we provide safe, structured and positive opportunities for local people to engage in sport — all representing their own community.

But currently, the club has no official home.

Despite a marked football area existing in Feltham Park, the pitch is not fit for purpose:

  • There are no pitch markings
  • The goalmouth is severely damaged
  • The goals have no nets
  • The Pavilion remains closed, leaving no toilets and no safe space to store belongings
  • Glass, broken lighters, opened drink cans and other hazards are regularly found on the field
  • On occasion, individuals have even been found sleeping on the pitch, creating further safety concerns

Meanwhile, the wider park remains underused for organised sport — yet there is more than enough space for residents to continue enjoying free play, while just 1.5 acres could be managed, improved, and maintained by Feltham Town FC for the benefit of our local residents to both play & spectate in organised sport.

Giving the club a formal agreement to care for and invest in this space would:

✅ Bring toilets, changing rooms & the Pavilion back into use (after restoration works)

✅ Allow weekly pitch maintenance and restoration (painting lines, grass maintenance)

✅ Remove hazards and create a safe environment for all users - all year round

✅ Offer structured football to even more young people and adults, against the current limitations we face via Parks

✅ Strengthen community safety, cohesion and pride

✅ Support a club that is already investing in equipment, creating local jobs, player development & a club that has proven to be self sustainable - that takes pride in the work they do

This community club currently works with children as young as 18 months old. We help young people become more disciplined, active, and socially confident — but without access to a safe, managed space, our impact is limited.

We believe Feltham Town FC is part of the solution — not the problem. They must be heard.

This petition follows the successful community-led petition that helped secure a cricket pitch in the same parklands. Now, we ask the council to support football equally, and help give Feltham Town FC a proper base to grow from. Established only 2 years ago, impacting over 80 players - just imagine if they had a place to call home, the positive work they could do.

Due to the nature of local facilities such as Tudor Park Sports & Leisure, providing football has become ridiculously expensive, facilities are overbooked & lack the equipment to allow the club to put on matches for the youth teams, at all the ages there is a clear and obvious demand for!

This is where the urgency is. Without a home, the club can’t grow to open more teams to cater for more children, and we risk children losing out on the experience, education & competition they want, need and deserve to play in, in order to sculpt their future. We must be there for them!

Please sign and share this petition if you believe Feltham deserves a community football club with a real home.
