Ms. Lei Baoliang, 77, of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, started practicing Falun Gong in 1993 and soon recovered from the many illnesses that once plagued her.

However, she was detained on multiple occasions and brutally tortured after the Chinese communist regime started persecuting Falun Gong in 1999. In particular, in 2002 she became paralyzed as a result of torture.

On May 8, 2021, Ms. Lei was again harassed at home by Yanquan Road Police Station officers. They stayed at her home for four hours.
