Update 6 and Final: Petition tabled and accpeted

Hello Folks,

This petition was tabled and accepted at the CCRC meeting I attended this morning.

The Councils position remains to await the Rating Advisory Committee recommendations. I was informed today the process of establishing the committee is on track. Again, I have registered my interest in representing local Graziers, others may have also registered an interest.

There seems to be a strong awareness and acceptance of the Grazier rates situation within the council, I do hope this process has positioned Graziers well in order to see change. I believe the petition has been a significant contributor in ensuring the rating advisory committee is established this year.

I will close this petition today, a reminder a Facebook site has been set up to provide updates should I be involved in the rates advisory committee.

Thanks very much to everyone for the support of this petition, I do regret we are unlikely to see substantial change in the upcoming budget. I am optimistic we will have a win next budget.
