Support Coach Houlihan and Chapman Track & Field

Support Coach Houlihan and Chapman Track & Field

The Issue

Chapman XC/Track & Field Head Coach Neil Houlihan was terminated by the university without explanation this week. He has built the men’s and women’s program from less than 60 people to around 100 people. From his efforts, over 300 student athletes have applied to Chapman with an interest in joining the XCTF team. This 2024 season has made history, with the Women’s T&F team narrowly losing the SCIAC Championship last weekend by 3 points and the Men’s team with a 3rd place finish. Coach Houlihan has been tirelessly working to develop the program and the athletes within it. The track and field season is not over. He believes in us and is our leader. This team deserves the support of Chapman University to successfully provide a positive student-athlete experience as promised. Sign this petition to show your support so we can make a difference and persuade the athletic department and administration to do the right thing.
