Support Carol Pollastrone's Appeal to the Lynn Zoning Board for Cat Foster Care

Support Carol Pollastrone's Appeal to the Lynn Zoning Board for Cat Foster Care
The Issue
This petition is deeply personal to us as we stand in support of Carol Pollastrone's work at 25 Ames St., Lynn, MA. Carol provides interim foster care for cats and kittens while ceaseless efforts are made to safely place these animals in local shelters. Her invaluable assistance supports our community commitment towards cats/kittens safety and control.
Despite enormous animal homeless rates nationally, Carol's efforts have brought glimmers of hope to our community. Unfortunately, her noble work is now being challenged, and it is for this reason that we are appealing to the Lynn Zoning Board.
We believe that the provision of foster care for these homeless cats directly alleviates the pressure on full capacity local animal shelters. It also offers an alternative avenue towards finding these cats safe, loving homes. Moreover, it allows for our community to ensure better control and safety for all animal inhabitants and their human neighbors, as the primary care responsibilities are immediately addressed.
It is unrealistic to expect our shelters to shoulder the burden of the homeless cat population alone. Carol's work should not be collated as a nuisance but rather recognized as a much-needed support system. Her work ultimately contributes towards the city's goal of taking care of its animal citizenry.
We ask the Lynn Zoning Board to consider our plea and rule in favor of Carol Pollastrone's commendable endeavor. Carol represents the best of our community - compassionate, committed, and consistent in her efforts to aid these cats in need. Please, grant Carol's appeal and allow her to continue serving our community in the heart-warming manner she has been.
We urge you, kind reader, to support our cause. Sign this petition. Give our feline friends the chance they deserve.
