Support Black Freemasons Joining Reparations Masons and the African Reparations Movement (ARM)
A Strategic Partnership for Justice, Service and Reparatory Justice

PURPOSE OF THIS PETITION
This petition invites Black Freemasons, and all Freemasons who support justice, to consider joining Reparations Masons and supporting the relaunch of the African Reparations Movement (ARM).

The petition seeks public support for the proposal that Black Freemasons become active participants in the growing international movement for reparatory justice through research, education, charitable work, leadership, public engagement and practical institution-building.

This petition does not claim:

that the United Grand Lodge of England has endorsed Reparations Masons;
that any Grand Lodge has agreed to support ARM;
that any formal partnership currently exists.
Rather, it records public support for exploring this opportunity.

WHY THIS PETITION?
Freemasonry has long promoted principles including:

Justice;
Integrity;
Charity;
Truth;
Service;
Moral responsibility;
Personal improvement;
Brotherhood.
Supporters of this petition believe these principles naturally encourage thoughtful engagement with questions of reparatory justice.

Reparatory justice is concerned with understanding and responding to the continuing consequences of slavery, colonialism and racial injustice through lawful, peaceful and constructive means.

Many Black Freemasons possess significant experience, leadership, professional expertise and community influence that could make an important contribution to this work.

WHY REPARATIONS MASONS?
Reparations Masons has been established as an independent voluntary association dedicated to supporting reparatory justice.

Its objectives include:

promoting historical research;
encouraging public education;
supporting community development;
encouraging international cooperation;
promoting constructive dialogue;
supporting charitable activity;
developing practical solutions for future generations.
Membership is entirely voluntary.

Individuals remain free to maintain their existing Masonic memberships and affiliations.

WHY SUPPORT THE AFRICAN REPARATIONS MOVEMENT?
The African Reparations Movement (ARM) is being relaunched with a long-term vision extending beyond campaigning.

Its objective is to help build practical international infrastructure for reparatory justice through:

research;
education;
technology;
artificial intelligence;
governance;
archives;
historical documentation;
legal research;
public policy;
economic development;
international cooperation;
charitable initiatives;
institutional partnerships.
Rather than existing solely as a protest movement, ARM seeks to become a permanent institution supporting reparatory justice for future generations.

WHY BLACK FREEMASONS?
Throughout history, Black Freemasons have contributed to public life through leadership, education, philanthropy, business, community service and civil rights.

Supporters of this petition believe their knowledge, experience and organisational skills could make an important contribution to building durable institutions supporting reparatory justice.

Participation would strengthen both Reparations Masons and the wider international reparations movement.

A NATURAL OPPORTUNITY
Supporters of this petition believe that many of the principles publicly associated with Freemasonry—including justice, charity and service—are compatible with exploring constructive approaches to reparatory justice.

Accordingly, they invite Black Freemasons to consider whether participation in Reparations Masons and support for ARM is consistent with their own values and personal commitment to justice.

This petition does not seek to speak on behalf of the United Grand Lodge of England or any other Masonic organisation.

Each individual Freemason is free to reach their own conclusion.

A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
This petition supports the proposal that Black Freemasons become active partners in helping build:

Reparations Masons;
the African Reparations Movement;
the ARM White Paper Library;
educational programmes;
research projects;
public discussions;
community initiatives;
international partnerships;
charitable activities;
technological infrastructure supporting reparatory justice.
Their participation would bring additional:

knowledge;
leadership;
professional expertise;
governance experience;
charitable experience;
organisational capacity;
community networks.

BUILDING A STRONGER MOVEMENT
The relaunch of ARM is founded upon strategic cooperation.

The movement seeks constructive relationships with:

universities;
museums;
legal organisations;
community organisations;
human rights organisations;
technology organisations;
cultural institutions;
faith organisations;
professional associations;
voluntary organisations.
Supporters believe Black Freemasons represent another community whose experience could strengthen this growing international network. This approach is consistent with the Strategic Partnership Petition Model, which encourages voluntary exploration of cooperation rather than asserting that any organisation has already agreed.

PUBLIC SUPPORT
By signing this petition, supporters state that they believe:

Black Freemasons should be encouraged to consider joining Reparations Masons.
Black Freemasons should be encouraged to support the relaunch of the African Reparations Movement.
Constructive dialogue regarding reparatory justice should be encouraged.
Cooperation between independent organisations and communities can strengthen the international reparations movement.
Participation should always remain voluntary and respectful of the independence of every individual and organisation.

CONCLUSION
This petition is not a demand.

It is an invitation.

It invites Black Freemasons to consider whether their commitment to justice, charity, service and moral responsibility may also find expression through participation in Reparations Masons and support for the African Reparations Movement.

If you believe that Black Freemasons can make an important contribution to the advancement of reparatory justice through research, education, institution-building, charitable service and constructive dialogue, please sign this petition.
