Greetings,

I hope this message finds you well!

As we continue to build momentum toward LA28 and the potential for the Sailing Games to be held in Los Angeles, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to all of you for your support.

It is an exciting time, and while we are still awaiting the final decision on the location for the sailing venue in either the City of Los Angeles or the City of Long Beach, I wanted to share some inspiring news from today’s IOC press conference. The sailing venue was not mentioned, but there were important historical announcements made that highlight a shift toward greater equality in the Games.

In total, there will be 5,333 female athletes and 5,167 male athletes in the initial sports program, with 322 additional female athletes and 376 male athletes coming from the newly added sports. This increase reflects the focus on gender equality in the athlete quota and the addition of six mixed events. Out of 351 events, 161 will be for women, 165 for men, and 25 will be mixed. This is a monumental step forward for gender equity at the Games!

As we look ahead, I kindly ask for your continued support in spreading the word about the LA28 Sailing Games. Sharing the link with your community and networks would be a great way to keep the momentum going and showcase the excitement we all share for this historic opportunity.  Click Here for the Petition Link

Once again, thank you for your partnership and dedication to advancing the sport of sailing and ensuring its bright future in the Olympics. We’re getting closer to the finish line, and I can’t wait to share what’s to come with you all!

Kind regards,

Kelly Marie
