Support Affordable Housing in Ward 5 — York South-Weston

The Issue

For the past 4 years, The Inclusive on Lawrence has tried to bring 1,878 suites of housing to the Black Creek Area. With 70% of the suites being offered through affordable and attainable rental and ownership options, this project sets a precedent for the number of affordable units a developer can present in a project. Sign your support to support affordable housing being built at 1635 Lawrence Ave. W., and to encourage developers to build more projects like this with 24 HR daycare, wrap-around non-profit services, on-site medical care, education services, and skilled trades training.

We, the undersigned residence and supporters of York South-Weston and the surrounding areas of Toronto, strongly advocate for the approval and swift development of the proposed large scale affordable housing project in our community to be located at 1635 Lawrence Ave. W.

This transformative project will:

Provide approximately 1,878 suites, with 70% designated as affordable housing.

Offer 24-hour daycare, and on-site medical services to support working families.

Stimulate local economic growth, and community development.

We urge our local representatives and government agencies to prioritize this project, recognizing its immense value in addressing Toronto's affordable housing crisis. We call for collaborative efforts to overcome any obstacles. This urgency of this project cannot be overstated.
