The Hopkinton Upper Charles Trail Committee (UCTC) is still proposing an unsafe trail route that includes going behind one of our elementary schools and along a very busy Hayden Rowe Street. Their preferred route (their only proposal) requires crossing Hayden Rowe Street 3 times in a 1-mile stretch, crossing 15 driveways including a microbrewery and a Florist’s parking lot. The UCTC route doesn’t meet our residents’ safety and usability standards and doesn’t consider all the risk to autos, homeowners, businesses, and trail-users. By signing this petition, you are asking the UCTC to abandon their entire proposed Upper Charles trail and seek an alternative, safer route.
