My name is Karlie Mizrahi-Hart and I am a Drags & Survival Sex Worker from Tkaronto and Vancouver BC’s Davie Street & Downtown East Side.

As a Trans & Fem person, I have experienced significant Gender-Based Violence, as well as an insurmountable amount of non-solicited Flirtation during my Off-Work Hours. My Colleagues (un-Unionized) and I continually have to argue with Bar Managers attempting to Fire* us for Reporting Assaults from Valuable Customers. White Performers continually get Systemically Granted Priority by White Owners. This has bankrupted myself, as well as multiple other past performers. Whiter Performers openly admit to Gaslighting Community, and will not disclose their own finances while they systemically and strategically Digitally Block Blacker Individuals Willing to Stand Against Racism.

This Petition is to demand that the Sex Worker’s Memorial on Denman is Not Enough. The Current Sex Workers and Performers of Davie Street deserve a facility that Parallels and Prioritizes Fem Sex Workers' Safety over Binary Passing Whiter* Women - similar to WISH in the DTES, which is currently "underfunded".

Street & Non-Unionized Performers deserve locker spaces to store their small to-go equipment. If a Gym Membership at Fit4Less costs $14 a Month, the Perfomers of Davie Street Deserve a 24 Hour Open Space like WISH, which is more accessible and Safer than The Gathering Place/Three Bridges. These facilities, though safe, do not prioritize those of us "just" above what is "presumed" to be a Poverty Line. As an individual Bankrupt and being Withheld References due to a demanded "Mental Health Check" (Cleared Multiple Times), I am calling for Accountability from The Junction, The Birdhouse, and other Affiliates to clarify their stances on Freedom to Drug Choice. As far as I am aware, their stances have been for Open Use. The demand for Mental Health Institutionalization to Me (Karlie Hart) as an individual with a Benzodiazepine Addiction/Allergy is a Force to Medicine that will result in Death.
