The Issue

We, the residents and supporters of Union City Indiana, are asking our city council to support a pilot spay/neuter program in partnership with public.vet.

This program would help reduce stray animal populations, improve public health, and lower long-term costs associated with animal control and sheltering.

Our community has access to a limited number of appointments, and if we do not act quickly, those resources will be used by neighboring cities.

Spay and neuter programs are proven to reduce nuisance complaints, prevent suffering, and create safer, cleaner neighborhoods.

We are asking the city to consider funding a small pilot program using existing public health, animal control, or community improvement funds.

This is a proactive, cost-effective solution that benefits both residents and animals.

We support taking action now.

Jamie MatchettPetition StarterI’m a local resident who has spent time helping care for stray cats in our area. Through that experience, I’ve seen how quickly the problem grows—and how preventable it is. I believe our community can do better with the right support.
