For those of you who do not know, yesterday a construction crew tore off the sod from Amity High School in Woodbridge without public knowledge or consent, and most importantly, WITHOUT A PERMIT.  The artificial field installer, FieldTurf, has yet to satisfy the condition of the special exemption permit issued by Woodbridge Town Planning and Zoning that its products are ENTIRELY PFAS/FLUORINE-FREE, and as a result, the town of Woodbridge has NOT ISSUED A PERMIT FOR CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN.

In addition, AMITY STUDENTS WERE USING THE TRACK WHILE CONSTRUCTION WAS HAPPENING, a clear safety violation.  Construction was not slated to begin until after the school year.

Construction by our town's zoning enforcement until FieldTurf unequivocally guarantees that its products do NOT contain any PFAS/Fluorine, but this violation of town law and public trust must be addressed.

Please sign this petition to let the Woodbridge's Board of Selectmen know that you support an Ordinance that would prohibit artificial turf and synthetic materials in the town of Woodbridge in the future.
