My husband and I decided to move to Folsom almost three years ago to raise our three young children because of the wonderful schools, safe neighborhoods and proximity to all the activities we enjoy as a family. Our home is located on the corner of Santa Juanita Ave. and Barton Road which was supposed to be realigned many years ago because of how poorly designed it is and how dangerous of a sharp turn it is. The entire stretch of Santa Juanita is a hot spot for speeding and people crashing into backyards. 

Shortly after moving in, we started having incidents of people crashing into through our fence on a regular basis and at all hours of day and night. Not only that, the speeding, amount of traffic and incidents has only been increasing due to more people using this "back road". This issue has been brought to the attention to everyone at the City of Folsom and Sacramento County and they have all acknowledged that it's long overdue for a realignment and that it is in fact extremely dangerous. Not only is my family directly affected, but others in the neighborhood have had similar incidents and concerns and many cyclists use this road.

After years of going back and forth between Placer County, Sacramento County and the City of Folsom, something needs to be done before one of us loses a loved one. Please help keep our neighborhood safe and urge the officials to do what's right - realign the road and put up safety measures to make it safe for everyone as it should of been done years ago.
