As a vegan, I have dedicated my life to making cruelty free choices in every moment. I believe that just like any dietary choice, veganism is respected by others and accepted in society today. Many supermarkets supply a wide range of vegan options from faux meats, dairy-free yoghurt and cheese to soy products such as tofu. The only downside to this supply is where it is displayed in the fridges and freezers. On every occasion, in every supermarket I have to pan over my conscience food choices whilst wanting to cry because they are located right next to the cured meats. It puts me off buying the products as I never know what I might encounter. Today I witnessed a baby lamb's leg in a pile of discounted items. To say I was upset would be an understatement. So, this is why I am starting this petition... The vegan community can source this petition data to forward to their local supermarket, and I intend on using this to pass onto Foodland, IGA, Woolworths & Coles stores in South Australia, with the intent of this being a national request.
