I'm sickened to find that almost everything in our supermarkets from soap to bread contains palm oil. Rainforests are being cut down and endangered species including elephants and orangutans are killed just so that big food and detergent manufacturers can make more profit by using a cheaper source of oil.

Big companies are illegally land grabbing, displacing local people and destroying diverse habitats in order to expand their supply of palm oil every day. The massive scale of the destruction of the rainforest is also a major contributor to global warming. This is a completely irresponsible and cruel practice and as consumers we are all culprits if we allow such destructive products on our shelves and into our shopping baskets. We MUST make a stand against this nonsensical practice.

Let's join forces to boycott palm oil and demand that our supermarkets stop using palm oil in their own brand products and stop stocking other products that contain it.
