Today, my daughter and 100% of her 5th grade class opted in to take Sex Education class (also referred to as Growth & Development), which is a standard class offered to all 5th grade classes.  This is an opt-in / opt-out class.  BHUSD Superintendent Steve Kessler issued a cease and desist order as the School Board decided to cut all 5th grade Sex Education classes immediately, deemed it inappropriate, and cancelled it indefinitely.

Please sign this petition to support reinstating Sex Education in our 5th grade classes IMMEDIATELY and voice your concerns that the School Board can NOT make decisions for our children's education without consulting with parents.  

Are we regressing?  A few weeks ago, the School Board cut Technology.  This week, the School Board cut Sex Education.  What will they cut next?  Where is our children's education headed?  We need to be heard.  We will NOT put up with this anymore!
