This is not ok. It shouldn't be ok. We need to send a stronger message to encourage the tinkerers of today to become the scientists and innovators of tomorrow and to discourage those who try to stop that. This kind of ignorance should not be leading our schools.

If this incident was seen as a legitimate bomb threat, then why was the whole school not evacuated?

The handling of this situation is absolutely ridiculous. Rather than evacuating MacArthur High School for the 'protection' of the students, Principal Dan Cummings had Ahmed Mohamed suspended AND arrested for bringing what we now know as a clock to school. This is not a case of protecting 'students'.

This was not a legitimate bomb thread. This is blatant racism and a perpetuation of Islamaphobia, spearheaded by Principal Dan Cummings of MacArthur High School in Irving Texas. We do not need this in our world today. Send a message. 

Encourage Ahmed and the tinkerers of today by having Principal Dan Cummings fired for his incompetence in this situation.
