Nazareth Area School District teachers have been working without a contract since August 31, 2015. The School Board requested a Fact Finder's report when contract terms could not be agreed upon. The Nazareth Area Education Association accepted the terms of the fact finder's report as a reasonable compromise. 

On October 8, 2015, the school board unanimously and without hesitation rejected the Fact Finder's report, leaving the teachers very little alternative than to strike. 

There will be a second vote in 10 days. Please sign the petition to urge the school board to accept the terms of the report. A strike in the district would hurt the students the most, but also have a huge impact on the morale of the teachers and the community.

The teachers of NASD are second to none. They are dedicated, hard-working, and for some of us, they've become a lifeline in the lives of our children. 

Please sign this petition and let the school board and Superintendent Dennis Riker know the community supports that you stand WITH the NASD Teachers!
