On Sunday, December 1st, upstate New York is expecting snow between 6-10 inches with a winter advisory in place. As of right now, SUNY Cortland has only reopened the dorms but has not canceled classes for Monday, December 2nd. Many students had planned to return to school on Sunday evening but as of right now, a large number of them are scrambling to find ways to make it back on time before classes on Monday. Giving the campus community an extra day off would ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff returning upstate from spending time with their families.
