I think its time Australia had a proper motorcycle road race and the new proposal submitted to the Sunshine Coast council in south east of Queensland for an Isle-of-Man style Tourist Trophy race would fill this criteria. Here is the media report:

Approving this application would inject new depth into one of the most picturesque areas of Australia's eastern seaboard and bring a uniquely sub-tropical race to the international road racing circuit. Apart from the obvious financial gain for local business a Sunshine Coast TT would also promote a new level of cultural exchange as these events are truly international and with the rise of motorcycling worldwide I believe the area would benefit greatly from the many diverse visitors who would explore the whole Sunshine Coast.
