Allow dogs ON LEASH on Mooloolaba South Beach

Allow dogs ON LEASH on Mooloolaba South Beach
The issue
Up until 3 weeks ago, owners were permitted to walk their dogs on leash at the southern end of Mooloolaba Beach.
Despite Councils claim that " community consultation was extensive", only 4 people found the consultation resource. Three people thought it was a bad idea to make the beach out of bounds for any dog on leash. Only one person agreed with council suggestion. Council decided to go ahead anyway, which implies that they ignore majority community opinion. We are now seeking wider community involvement.
Many people with smaller dogs dislike going to dog off lead areas, due to the increase in dog attacks.
People who live in this beach area, need a local beach to safely walk our dogs on lead. Many people used to visit this area especially to walk their dogs here.
