Over 14% of students at Hendersonville High School are out sick. And even more kids are coming to school spreading illness to other children and teachers. Vomit is in the hallways, 10 kids had checked out this morning before school even started. All these kids out of school are getting behind in their classes and are even considering dropping a class or two due to being so far behind. Cancelling school would help prevent the spread of sickness and put children at ease knowing that they aren’t falling behind. On top of all this we have 12 days built in to the year that we can miss if need be. We have used none of these days. There is no reason for Sumner County to still be in school considering these conditions. Thank you.
