Recently, a man shot a stray dog and its puppies with a rifle at his house. Being a dog owner myself, I know that these animals really only want human socialisation. That's in their dna. I can't imagine my beloved Sagua(my dog) being shot by some pitiful excuse of a man. The very thought of it makes my blood boil. In this case, the dogs were causing zero harm to the man yet he decided to open fire, and his wife too recorded it and then posted it on social media. His wife is also heard to state her displeasure that he only shot the dogs leg. This is inhumane. This is cynical. This is disgusting. According to the Animal Welfare Act 2015, no person shall kill by way of shooting with firearms any animal unless it is authorized by the veterinary authority during emergency or for the purposes of disease control--The Rakyat Post. Not only that, it is presumed the firearms he used was illegal. The penalty for this is 14 years imprisonment at a minimum. Justice needs to be brought to this sad excuse of a man. We need power in numbers. Animal cruelty especially towards dogs in our nation is not only conducted and executed by individuals but also by local authorities who treat stray dogs mercilessly. Indeed, this is most disgraceful considering many consider our humanity to be the distinction between us and animals. Looking at this, I have lost hope in such characterisations.  This man to me is nothing but an animal. An animal who does not have the most basic of morals in his life. So please, sign this petition to restore some faith in humanity.
