This petition is to SAVE THE ROBERT MOSES STATUE.

Moses was the one of greatest builders/engineers in N.Y. State history!

You made have heard about a current petition to remove his statue. All due to “low bridges”.The low-bridge story is a microbiography of Moses, a tragic hero who built for the ages, but for a narrowly construed public.

In 1927 the city was predominantly Italian Irish English, we know Robert Moses wasn’t being racist, because his plans were on the drawing board already... Just because the demographics changed while in the process ,this shouldn’t reflect on the man that designed the roads. Some people  today believe Robert Moses was trying to keep African-Americans from going to Long island beaches and parks ,this all happened once the project started years later shouldn’t reflect on someone who didn’t have a crystal ball.
