Tell Subaru to Bring Back Turbo Models and Wagons
The Issue
My love and passion for Subaru's starts back in 1998 with a demo disc for Gran Turismo with two car options, one of which was the Subaru Impreza WRX STi in World Rally Blue. One of the most easily recognizable cars out there.
For decades, I and many others have loved Subaru and everything that they do and offer. Their commitment to treating customers like family goes far and beyond what most automotive companies do.
Along the way we have been treated in return for our purchases and loyalty, to a slew of wonderfully built cars. From the Turbo Legacy's of old (and new) to the Brat to the perennially-loved Impreza line.
Lately though many changes have been made in the direction of their cars. Despite widespread love of the wagon and hatchback models, particularly in the Impreza line, Subaru of America (SOA) has elected to digress from offering performance models in these body styles, and even have gone so far to the point we find ourselves at now where most of their models differ in the slightest from one another.
We loved you initially for your daring takes on automotive architecture. The sleek lines that others dared not copy until well after we showed our love for them. We loved you for your daring engine builds which gave us delight after delight while still being able to have a family and be sure that they're in safe hands.
Now though, our turbo models are all but gone, and the design work leaves much to be desired. So here it is. Our plea for the future of Subaru. Bring back the design dynasty that gave us such a wonderfully varied array of cars to choose from, each for their own unique features and looks. Bring back the performance driven models that blow us away right off the lot with tangible improvements from the prior generation.
In short, don't forget those of us that have been here since the beginning of our journey. We'd like to be here even longer.
So sign below if you're one of the countless people who wish that we would have turbo options brought back as standard and made new as standard for models such as the Forester, Outback, BRZ, and others, and if you want more models to be designed with wagon and hatchback options including the Legacy and performance level Impreza models.
