We need more housing in Penticton as home prices increase. The lack of options for home buyers creates artificial scarcity and housing unaffordability. Supporting this development will make housing more affordable as move up buyers will be selling their homes thereby opening up the market for first time buyers and buyers in all price ranges.

Canada is undergoing a Mega-trend by way of a broad based generational housing shift. Baby Boomers are retiring in record numbers and leaving the inner suburbs for properties like this. It is expected that by 2024 one in five Canadians will be over 65 and Millennials are just now feeling the urge to move into detached homes.

Sothebys International suggests that 36% of Baby Boomers nationally and older homeowners will be selling their homes in the near future.

We must supply this need for housing. Otherwise we are part of the problem in causing housing unaffordability. This master planned development has been planned and fine tuned for a decade now and conforms strictly to Penticton's Official Community Plan and all regulatory constraints. Now is the time to show City Council this is the right development at the right time and it meets their vision and the vision of the Community.
