The Young Democrats at the University of Arkansas Supports and Recommends the Appointment of Dr. Charles Robinson as the Chancellor of the University of Arkansas.

Dr. Robinson has served UA students for 21 years. He joined UA faculty in 1999 as an assistant professor of history. He has since served as the director of the African and African American Studies Program, vice chancellor for Student Affairs, and provost for Academic and Student Affairs. He has been the recipient of multiple awards including the Fulbright College Master Teach Award and Arkansas Alumni Board Teacher of the Year. Most recently, he was appointed as interim chancellor of the University of Arkansas for 14 months, a position he still holds. 

Dr. Robinson has led the university through the most unprecedented and difficult times since August 2021. In his time as interim chancellor, he has innovated and developed student facilities such as Adohi Hall, Pat Walker Health Center, and the Student Success Center. Each of these spaces is vital to the health, success, and well-being of the growing student body at the University of Arkansas. Further, his experience in recruiting and retaining Arkansans has undoubtedly provided him with ample experience to determine their success. Dr. Robinson has extensive experience, trust, and support with the student body.
