BREAKING: The Tigard-Tualatin School Board has announced a plan to add two new seats to the school board by their appointment. Not only is it undemocratic to allow the board to appoint new members to the board that are supposed to be elected officials, but it is unethical to do so without any kind of community feedback. 

We demand that the board not move forward with this action item. Furthermore, should a decision be made to add seven seats to the board, we ask that it be referred to the voters by putting the decision on the ballot in 2021. It must be voters who decide who fills the new seats in the coming election years. We urge you to join Tigard-Tualatin students by signing this petition and sharing with friends and family to demand our district uphold democracy in this consequential decision.
