The Florida Bright Futures program, which has allowed over 800,000 Floridians to attend higher education in the state is now under attack. Senator Dennis Baxley has proposed bill SB86 which cuts funding to the program and restricts its benefits to only “market driven degrees”. The passing of this bill would prove detrimental to hundreds of thousands of students and parents who can’t otherwise afford college.
