There are group of Tyler citizens wanting to change the name of Robert E. Lee High School.  There was a public open forum held on August 21st at the TISD school board meeting, there were many individuals that spoke to leave the name of Robert E. Lee alone and there were several that want it changed.  The board members of TISD listened to everyone who signed up to speak.  The board tabled the issue until the September meeting.  It is even more important now to keep this petition going and growing in signatures.  

Let us make our voices heard and tell the TISD School board that we stand united and DO NOT want the name of our school changed.
