In Professor Van Klyton’s international business class, students were given the semester long assignment to make a thematic diary. In light of the coronavirus situation and all in person instruction being online, we (the students of ramapo college) believe that quiz grades should be weighed and counted along in our final grade and that the final diary submission should count as our final. 
It would be unfair to make these students take a final that consists of 5 essays and reading hours of academic journals when there are students that do not have sufficient resources to be listening to the pre recorded  lectures and taking on jobs as essential workers since many of our household members no longer have an income. Many students need the in class discussions to understand these journals when we have in person instruction and activities. Hours of work have been put into this class with the diary submissions and it is worth being counted as a final grade. 
At the moment, all quizzes these students have taken have no weight or part in their final grades and many other ramapo professors have considered the situation and declared no final.
