Jeffrey Buck has taken over Dr. Atkinson's CSE463 course for the fall 2020 semester. With him teaching the course this semester, the course has greatly decreased in quality. Lectures are full of Jeffrey reading content verbatim from the slides, spending upwards of 20 minutes figuring out how to share his screen to get audio and picture to share to students and having to rely on the teaching assistants to do his job. The most infuriating aspect of the course for this semester is the format for the exams. Previously, Dr. Atkinson had exams take home and were essay style. This semester, Jeffrey has decided to use lockdown browser and has not allowed a single page for a cheat sheet or even a flashcard to use on the exam. With the sheer amount of content we will be expected to know on the final, it is only fair that we, the students, are allowed some form of notes to use on the exam. We are not asking for much; even a 3x5 flashcard would help. It is clear Jeffrey does not know what he is doing and is just stalling for time until the semester ends so he can put this all behind him. We, the students, are asking for your support to overturn this dictator's exam policy. Please sign and spread the word. Thank you.
