Atmospheric pollution causes six million deaths a year worldwide and a quarter of lung cancer cases, heart attacks and strokes, representing 0.3% of world GDP in health costs, as well as reducing productivity at school and work.

The solution is simple - a reduction of emission of obnoxious substances in the environment and a reduction of human induced atmospheric carbon emission to a level that will prevent dangerous interface with the climate system.

NULAI's plans - Embark on a 7-Day NULAI Fresh Air Campaign which shall start on November 11th and culminate on the 18th of November, 2019 themed ‘Climate Justice is Social Justice’ where law clinics shall carry out climate change activities aimed at promoting action on air pollution.

The suggestions from this campaign shall be forwarded to the Nigerian Federal Executive Council as a signatory to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Kyoto Protocol to ensure the protection and promotion of climate goals.
