Changes to lecturing format at USC (psychology)

Changes to lecturing format at USC (psychology)
The issue
The university of the Sunshine Coast (USC) has proposed changes to lecture delivery from a 1hour lecture, was previously F2f now a prerecorded powerpoint lecture, to a "interactive" online platform. We argue that the changes proposed will have a negative effect on students learning, specifically the psychology undergraduate degree.
Many students feel that the introduced interactive platform is a way for less and less teacher contact time. It will eliminate opportunities to ask questions, get a student friendly version of readings and lessen advice from experts in the field aka our lecturers and tutors. On top of this students are finding the platform 'clunky' and that this is not the best and collaborative way for them to engage. Additionally, Psychology specifically is a course that is content heavy with a high load of readings, the new way amplifies this and takes the opportunity for a more visual and auditory perspective, one that is a much needed break from readings.
The issue herein lies that people who have nominated to do a F2f course, this is the only format USC currently offer, are not receiving what they signed up for, if they wanted a online course they would have done so. So please, if you would like to keep the current format of lectures, or propose another way of doing things please sign this petition so we can hopefully stop the introduction of this new way of delivery. We all just want the best out of our education, so please make it that way!
