Halloween would become greatly more enjoyable if we had school off for the busy holiday and the opportunity to sleep in the day after. This petition would put the Halloween on October 31, a Thursday, to November 1 a Friday. On this Friday school would be off, this would give the opportunity for families and friends to spend the full day doing festivities that would not be possible on a school day. Since kids and students traditionally stay up late on Halloween it would not be forgiving to students and teachers to have kids inattentive during class and coming to school late due to sleeping in because they went to bed late. Additionally, because Halloween revolves so much around candy, kids go to school feeling sick after eating so much candy the night before. It could also give schools a chance to fundraise with Halloween activities like a haunted house, the showing of a movie or even seasonal games for local families to have a more exciting day. If you are a diehard fan for halloween as I and the student body is, then this petition would be greatly in your favor. Let’s make this spooky season one to remember!
