Let Students Wear Multiple Honor Cords at Graduation

Newsome students achieve academically, athletically, and through extra-curricular activity, as led by their families, school faculty, the school's legacy, and students' hard work. The evidence of success in those endeavors teaches valuable life lessons to the students and those they influence through their success. Diminishing that achievement discourages the very motivation to strive and apply oneself to achievement and societal betterment. In recent graduation ceremonies, school officials have, without said reason, limited students to a single honor cord, without regard to the complete number of a student's achieved honor cords.
We, the undersigned, encourage the school administration to recognize their students' achievements as how they would have their own professional achievements noted, and, to fully reward those achievements of all students under their stewardship. As such, we advocate school administrators reinstate the time-honored tradition of recognizing students' achievements through multiple honor cord vestments,as bestowed to the recipient, at Newsome High School graduation commencement ceremonies.
