Elon College Republicans released a statement saying that Black Lives Matter, but their consistent rhetoric around the matter, both in private in their own group chat and with the join chat with College Democrats paints a very different picture. These violent comments show that Elon College Republicans is not capable of holding a chapter at this time. The club should be suspended from the University for these violent statements, and then undergo mandatory anti-bias training for all executive council and members before reinstatement. The statements made by the members of College Republicans are not only inconsistent with their statement on Instagram, but they are disgusting, racist, dispicable, vile, hurtful, wrong, and should not ever be the values that exist within any club at the university.
