MAKE STRONGER AND SMARTER LAWS TO PROTECT ANIMALS and MAKE THE OSPCA RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE TO THE CITIZENS OF ONTARIO

MAKE STRONGER AND SMARTER LAWS TO PROTECT ANIMALS and MAKE THE OSPCA RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE TO THE CITIZENS OF ONTARIO

The Issue

animals are suffering and the OSPCA are doing unacceptable, shoddy work.

In light of the recent case of Tiger, the Portuguese Fila dog in Hamilton, that was left outside in extreme cold temperatures (-38 degrees) without adequate shelter and water.  The unacceptable conditions of this dog’s living space and poor physical condition have been reported many times to the Hamilton SPCA by caring neighbours and nothing was done to help the dog.

The OSPCA has dropped the ball and this is not the first time!!!

In reading all the comments that flooded in for Tiger, many people shared similar stories of calls to the OSPCA that amounted to nothing - no help for the animals, no support or investigation from the OSPCA

It is quite evident that the OSPCA has been negligent and have not been looking after the well being of animals and protecting them, as the public and citizens of Ontario have been lead to believe.

Don’t be fooled folks; innocent animals are not being adequately protected!!

On many occasions the OSPCA says they are tied by laws, and cannot do anything.  If this is so, the laws need to be changed and made more specific to actually protect animals.

However, In many cases, there has been much evidence that the laws that do exist have been broken, but still the OSPCA did nothing. They are full of excuses and simply not doing their job.

see OSPCA the truth

I am dissapointed and extremely outraged that the OSPCA has lied to Ontario citizens by portraying themselves as an oganization that protects and looks out for the well being of animals when in fact it does not.

I ASK THAT YOU PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION IN THE NAME OF THE COUNTLESS HELPLESS ANIMALS THAT CANNOT SPEAK UP FOR THEMSELVES. WE MUST BE THEIR VOICE!!!

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A CHANGE TO BETTER PROTECT ANIMALS

Sierge LeBlanc, who is the press secretary for Community safety and correctional service which is the ministry in control of animal welfare laws in Ontario, says “We have the strongest animal welfare legislation in Canada”.

To Sierge, the laws are either not strong enough because there are hundreds, if not thousands of reports of neglected and abused animals that the OSPCA is not dealing with effectively or they are choosing to ignore these cases/reports ,for seedy reasons unknown to the public, and they are not held accountable for it.

Either way this must change!  We will no longer stand for this.

Call to Action:  MAKE STRONGER AND SMARTER LAWS TO PROTECT ANIMALS.

and

MAKE THE OSPCA RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE TO THE CITIZENS OF ONTARIO
