As long-time residents of Johns Creek and parents to sports-loving children, we've experienced the struggle caused by the lack of multi-purpose athletic fields in our city. Our children, true lovers of football, have had no choice other than to travel beyond city boundaries or trespass into high school fields just for passive play or training. The affect this has had on their love for the game and their sense of belonging cannot be overstated.

Johns Creek stands as the only city in metro Atlanta without a multi-purpose athletic field. Given that a majority of metropolitan areas opt for such fields due to space constraints and the diverse usage they offer, it's time for Johns Creek to fall in line with other cities and cater to its youth's athletic needs.

Multi-purpose fields not only serve a diverse range of sports activities, but also promote inclusiveness and encourage a healthier community. They provide a much-needed communal space for our youth to develop their sporting skills, build friendships, and cultivate a stronger bond with their city.

By creating a multi-purpose athletic field in Johns Creek, we can secure a better athletic future for our children, foster community spirit, and make our city a more thriving and vibrant place to live for everyone. Therefore, we call upon the City of Johns Creek to establish at least one multi-purpose athletic field for our children and our community.
