Cardinal George Pell has just been sentenced to six years in prison. Now, the PM has to make good on his word and recommend Pell be stripped of his Companion of the Order of Australia.

Right now, can you quickly pick up the phone to call the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and respectfully ask them to make this recommendation to the Council for the Order of Australia?

It will take you less than 2 minutes - a small amount of time to send a powerful message to survivors of sexual abuse.

  1. Call 02 6271 5111, the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.
  2. Respectfully ask the Prime Minister act to remove Pell’s undeserved Companion of the Order of Australia.
  3. Point out there is a precedent: convicted sex offender Rolf Harris was stripped of his Order of Australia in 2015.
  4. Ask for action so that we might restore honour to the honours list.
  5. Thank the person for their time, and always be polite and respectful.

There’s 133,000 of us standing together asking our country to do more, to recognise the rights and trauma of sexual abuse survivors and to stop protecting abusers. Together, we’ve shown that standing together makes us powerful - call the Prime Minister’s office and prove just what we can achieve together.

Thank you.
