As animal rescuers, we have seen a huge increase in the number of animal abandonments, animal abuse and unlicensed breeding. This is causing never ending problems with animals ending up in streets, santuaries and foster homes overflowing with cases. Cats and dogs are also becoming traumatized and injured.

We need strict microchipping and registration of pet laws and enforce penalties for every pet found unregistered. Breeders who are not registered are fined. Owners need to take real ownership, be responsible and think twice about abandoning at the first problem.
