Strengthening Laws and Enforcement Against Illegal Logging in the Philippines

The Issue

Illegal loggings  is the unlawful harvesting, processing, transporting or selling of timber and other forest products. This activity is a major environmental problem worldwide , especially in the Philippines. Illegal logging is often driven by the demand for cheap timber, insufficient enforcement of forest law, and corruption.
