The Issue

We call on Missouri lawmakers to urgently to revise Missouri revised statutes 566.148-151 to close dangerous loopholes that allow Sexual Predators to evade justice, especially in cases involving child luring, grooming, and abuse disguised as public events.

Too many of our children are falling victim to Sexual Predators and our current laws aren't strong enough to stop them.  Statutes 566.148 through 566.151 were designed to protect minors, by loopholes and vague language are allowing Predators to slip through the cracks.

We are asking Missouri legislators to:

*Strengthen language around "enticement of a child" to include all forms of grooming and manipulation.

*Expand protected areas and situations, including school zones, public parades with child themes, and awareness events.

*Close loopholes that allow offenders to avoid charges by claiming non-sexual intent or exploiting technicalities in the law.

These revisions are vital to prevent further harm, hold offenders accountable, and give law enforcement the tools they need to act before abuse happens.

Every child deserves to grow up safe, and every predator should know Missouri takes child protection seriously.

Sign today to demand legislative action that puts the safety of Missouri's children first.
