This is tough for me to share, but I feel it's crucial to bring attention to an issue that's close to my heart. One out of five women will experience sexual assault in their lifetime—a hard truth that often goes unmentioned. And yet, many of us never thought we could have a future where joy and success were possible. I'm now 30 and thriving, and that’s something I once thought impossible. To every survivor out there, I want you to know how proud I am of you, and I want us to keep fighting for a world where we can all thrive without fear.

Current laws often fall short in providing necessary protections and support for survivors like us. We face numerous challenges in seeking justice, with emotional and legal hurdles at every turn. Enhancing legal protections can help ensure that those who've experienced sexual assault receive the justice they so rightfully deserve. This means better legislation that truly protects survivors, holding offenders accountable and offering real support through the justice system.

For many of us, the journey to feeling safe and whole again is a difficult one. It’s incredibly important to create an environment where survivors are supported and believed, not just in words, but through actionable policies. That means stronger laws, comprehensive survivor support systems, and educational programs that prevent sexual assault from happening in the first place.
