Strengthen Laws Against Narcissistic Abuse & Coercive Control in the United States
O problema
Every day, individuals across the United States face a chilling reality: exploitation and coercive control masked under the guise of relationships and trust. Many people remain unaware that narcissistic abuse often includes serious violations of freedom, autonomy, and dignity. These aren't just emotional breaches—they constitute criminal actions that strip victims of their human rights.
Coercive control seems invisible, but it manifests in fraud, identity misuse, and financial abuse, isolation , smear campaigns, exploitation, organized harassment. It's not always about visible chains or physical force—it's about manipulation, psychological & physical control, and using a person's identity, labor, ideas, image and resources for someone else's profit. Victims often do not even realize they are being trafficked in this subtle yet devastating manner.
It's crucial that we recognize coercive control for what it is: a violation of basic human rights. Freedom and consent are non-negotiable rights that must be protected. When someone believes they are entitled to exploit another’s decisions, identity, or labor, they have crossed a line and should be held accountable.
We need to strengthen our laws against coercive control inside law enforcement, abusers not o my abuse victims , use the system as extension of themselves to keep abusing the victims, to safeguard autonomy and dignity. By doing so, we address this pervasive issue at its core, ensuring that everyone has the right to say "no" without fear of manipulation or retaliation. Let's demand legal frameworks that protect against these insidious forms of abuse.
Sign this petition to call for stronger legislation against coercive control in the United States. Help us protect those who cannot protect themselves.
